There appears to be some professional restoration work done to the hinges. The spine features a blind stamped title label. There is a blind stamped floral design and borders on the rear board. There are woodcut initials and borders as well as numerous illustrations with white end pages. 9" by 7" 1,153 pages CONDITION: This book is in very, very good condition for its age. The binding is very tight and the leather is soft. There has been professional, discreet repair work to the hinges. The spine and boards show wear, please see the pictures to get a better idea. The interior is fairly clean and the text is bright and legible. There is some chipping to the page margins in the middle, and at the end of the pages, however this does not affect any text. This nearly 400 year old book is a rare treasure!  The leather shows some scratching and cracking, but is still surprisingly fresh. The interior is very clean, with no writing or foxing.
