(SEE PHOTO 2 OF BOOK PLATE) The bookplate to each vol is that of Theodore Roosevelt the son of the American President. He was a soldier and a businessman. Unsuccessful candidate for Governor of New York State. Appointed Governor General of the Phillipines. He died in France (1944) during the aftermath of DDay. Awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor posthumously.
