Description
This is a l0 1/2" x 7 3/8", 106 page catalog from Moore & Evans Sporting Goods in Chicago Illinois. It's dated 1907 on the page with baseball bats and gloves. Most of the baseball, boxing, and football items were made by Victor, including crescent pad gloves, nose guard, flat top leather helmet, jocks, and some tennis rackets. The baseballs in boxes were made by Victor. Other items shown are fencing foils, roller skates, and ice skates. There is a section on fishing including rods, Shakespeare reels, and reels by Meek, Alamo, and Marhoff. There are also several baits and lures shown, along with creels and accessories. There are 20 pages of guns and ammunition, including shotguns by Parker, Lefever, Stevens, Thomas Barker, Hopkins & Allen, Winchester, and Marlin. There are rifles by Savage, Winchester, Stevens, and Daisy Air Rifles. There are automatic pistols by Colt, Luger, Smith & Wesson, Iver Johnson, Harrington & Richardson, and Hopkins & Allen. There are decoys, gun implements, hunting coats, bags, traps, tents, pocket knives, vapor lamps, hammocks, folding chairs, pipes, dog collars, and other camp accessories. It's loaded with photos of all this stuff. It has a nice graphic front cover that shows much of the stuff inside and back cover ad for a Baker double barreled shotgun, Gem Safety Razor, and Base Ball Uniforms. The edges are tattered and worn but the catalog is definitely complete. Really a great looking resource from 100 years ago. Check out my other auctions for all kinds of stuff.
