Description
Fine copy of this scarce landmark novelisation of the iconic movie with even scarcer dustjacket. First edition, Grosset & Dunlap, 1932. Black titles on lime green cloth with strong colour. Spine ends mildly pushed, neat name on front endpaper which, with rear endpapers, features stills from the movie at that time yet to be premiered. Clean text block with, unusually, practically no ageing. Stained top edge as published. The dustjacket retains very strong colour front and back and barely discernible fading to the spine. The spine ends are chipped somewhat but not deep enough to affect the title of publisher's name. Chip to rear one inch by half an inch deep, shallow chipping to bottom edges and creasing to flap fore-edges. A Very Good d/j indeed given age and overall as nice a copy as any been seen for sale in recent years. Buyer must have a PayPal account.
