Murray, Editor First Edition At The Clarendon Press, 1888-1933 Book in Very Good - Condition This is the original, First Edition of the Oxford English Dictionary (as it later became known as). It was rebound in the early to mid-1900s in brown buckram cloth. Complete 27 volumes plus 2 matching supplements, ergo 29 volume set. Published 1888-1933. Cloth has slightly discolored due to age, therefore cloth on spine is darker than cloth on boards. Only endsheets have moderate to heavy foxing. Volume 1 has name-plate.
