Description Having been a PLAYBOY collector since 1964,I have seen and owned literally thousands of PLAYBOY magazines.This particular set,an extremely rare PAGE 3 VOL.1 NO.1 (DECEMBER,1953) through the DECEMBER,1959 issue is THE BEST SET OF 72 PLAYBOYS FROM THE FIFTIES I have ever seen.All original INSERTS are present and attached.The front and back COVERS are beautiful and tight.The CENTERFOLDS look untouched and are snugly attached.The PAGES are as white, and the colors as clean and clear, as the day they came off the presses. There are no torn or missing pages in this collection.Each issue is stored in a 100% polypropylene bag with a non-acidic backing board.They were removed only for the purpose of photographing them,then returned into their protective bag.They are also stored standing so no weight is on any single issue.A few issues are "Very Fine+", a few are "Mint-",and overall the entire set is "NEAR MINT" (or 9.5 on a 10.0 grading scale). Of course there could be a COLLECTION OF FIFTIES PLAYBOYS as good as this one,but I do not believe that there could be one better,especially with the PREMIER PLAYBOY being a beautiful and extremely rare PAGE 3 #1.
