Three x 2pp handwritten letters on plain notepaper signed 'Richmal', horizontally folded. In Near Fine condition.  The Glebe, Oakley Road, Bromley Common, Kent, 7th August 1952, 2nd & 4th January 1953, all addressed to Fred, the first accepting a birthday party invitation and noting 'I've heard from the BBC this morning that they want to do the William scripts after all! So after having let all the threads of it go & picked up the threads of the novel (perhaps William and the Moon Rocket). I was working on when they started playing hide & seek with me, I've got to let go those threads & pick up the others & at present feel all of a tangle! I'll pass the list on', the second letter hoping Fred had a good Christmas, the third, 'I'm over come by horror & regret & remorse. I was all set in my mind on Thursday to listen to your Friday broadcast & on Friday morning I was working hard on a William story ...', noting that he did finish the William story and forgot about the broadcast until Saturday.
